Men! Join us this coming new year as we go through the entire Bible in the year 2024.
As a church, we are going through the One Year Bible together. As men, we will be using the One Year Bible as our book for our Men’s Studies throughout 2024
2024 Men’s Study: begins May 1st
We as Committed Men are going through the One Year Bible on Wednesday nights at 7pm picking back up May 1st and going to the 22nd.

Once every few months, we prepare a meal for men to enjoy and bring out their friends. From our smoked BBQ’s, to our taco bars, to our shrimp boils, these meals are drawing hundreds of men. Following the meal, we have a time of worship and dig into God’s Word with various guest speakers from around the world.
ANNUAL MEN'S HUDDLE

Once a year, we host a weekend huddle on our property for men. It begins on Friday night, goes half-day Saturday, and takes over our Sunday morning services, where everyone from the body participates. Our Huddle is a time to pull together all of our men in order to break bread and allow God to break our hearts through worship, fellowship, and studying His Word.

Wise Fellowship

This group is for those men that desire to go deeper in their walk with Jesus, now that they are retired. The emphasis of this group is Christ-like character in retirement. Wise Fellowship meets in the Cafe every Thursday at 8:00AM. They also have a breakfast on the first Thursday of each month.

Mentoring Men

This group is designed for men that are desiring spiritual growth in their lives, marriages, or families. It is also designed to help men discover their gifts and learn what it means to be a spiritual leader in their homes, workplace, or the church.
This group meets at 8:00am on the first Saturday of each month.

Businessmen Group

This group is for those men that desire to go deeper in their walk with Jesus, but also want to apply what they learn to the workplace, as bosses or employers. The emphasis of this group is Christ-like character in the workplace. This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00AM.

1-on-1 Discipleship

This is for that man who is not looking for a group, but would like another man to personally mentor him. The emphasis is developing Christ-like character through personal discipleship. One-on-One men meet at various times throughout the month, according to each person’s availability.

This group is for those young men between the ages of 18-30 that desire to go deeper in their walk with Jesus. The emphasis of this group is Christ-like character as a young adult man.

The power and purpose of connection: Connecting men in the body of Christ
In John 17:11, Jesus prayed that his disciples (that includes us men) "that they may be one as He and His Father are." David said in Psalm 133:1, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
In verse 3, He said "it's like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion." In other words, our dwelling together in unity is refreshing, invigorating.
We must be committed to connecting: Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
We must be honest about the dangers of not connecting:
- Isolation: Proverbs 18:1 "A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment."
Try to imagine a world without companions. We would become lonely, vulnerable, unsupported, and greatly weakened. We would become isolated individuals, and we would create an isolated society.
Most men desire companionship. For many, that is what moved them from the single life to marriage. It's what drives men to play sports with other men, watch the game together, work out at the gym together. It's why young men join fraternities and older men join the moose lodge; all men need companions.
When it comes to men in the church, it's no different. God knows it’s not good for men to be alone (Genesis 2:18). That’s why he created marriage, the family, and the body of Christ. It's actually God’s desire that we connect and build meaningful spiritual relationships with other men in the body of Christ.
- Deceptive thinking: Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?"
- Vulnerability: There is no one there to help when you fall into trouble. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says "Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up."
- The church is weakened : The church is not as strong when its people are scattered. 1 Corinthians 12:12 "For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ."
Galatians 6:2 We are to carry one another’s burdens.
Romans 15:1 The strong are to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

Men’s Study
Three times a year we change the format of our Wednesday night Bible studies, where our men have Bible studies with men, and the women have Bible studies with the women.
The next Wednesday night men’s studies will run from January 10th - 31st.
